I'm a designer working at the intersection of brand, cultural impact, and technology. Before studying experience design at VCU Brandcenter, I served as the Program Director of Storefront for Community Design, a Richmond-based nonprofit that connects people with affordable design services. Although Brandcenter is known for its alumni in the advertising world, I enrolled in the experience design track to reframe what I thought I knew about design and civic engagement. I am continually fascinated by the spaces where civic and cultural realms intersect with technology. At the same time, exposure to the advertising world at Brandcenter made me realize that I also enjoy getting people excited about buying beer and boxed rice. I'm currently based in Brooklyn, looking for full-time work as a designer.
